Autumn Exhibition 2018 – and our winner is…

by Webmaster on October 8, 2018

Over 90 framed works by Shropshire Art Society members are still on show at our Autumn Exhibition in the Bear Steps Gallery until 2.30pm on Saturday 13th October. The Exhibition Social was held on Saturday 6th October and a good many members and guests were there to see our President, Wilf Langford announce the winner of the Walker Harrison Prize for “the painting which best represents the Shropshire countryside”. This year’s worthy winner is Alex Adams for her painting View from the Long Mynd. A big thank you to our adjudicator this year, Jonathon Soden of the Soden Collection Art Gallery and congratulations to Alex!

Many thanks also to John Willetts and his team of volunteers for hanging the exhibition in such a timely and organised fashion.
